Spanish airport operator Aena has agreed to buy a majority stake in a holding company controlling Leeds Bradford Airport and a share in Newcastle International Airport, valued at about $360 million.
The deal, announced December 18, 2025, strengthens Aena’s position in the UK market.

Aena will acquire a 51% stake in a new holding company that owns 100% of Leeds Bradford Airport and 49% of Newcastle International Airport.
The seller, infrastructure firm InfraBridge, will keep the remaining 49%.
This setup extends their existing joint ownership of London Luton Airport, where Aena holds 51% and InfraBridge 49%.
The purchase price is 270 million pounds, or roughly $360 million, subject to adjustments.
The transaction awaits regulatory approval and is set to close in the second quarter of 2026.
