Ondo Finance Launches Tokenized US Treasuries on XRP Ledger
Ondo Finance has launched its tokenized US Treasuries, called OUSG, on the XRP Ledger. This happened on June 11, 2025. It’s a big deal because it makes high-level financial products easier to access through blockchain.
What Are Tokenized US Treasuries?
OUSG stands for Ondo US Government Treasuries. It’s a digital version of short-term US Treasury securities. These tokens are backed by BlackRock’s BUIDL fund. That means each token is tied to real Treasury assets. This setup keeps things safe and trustworthy for investors.
How Does It Work?
People buy OUSG tokens with Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin. This stablecoin makes transactions fast and smooth. Investors can trade OUSG anytime—24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That’s a big change from traditional investing. It gives quick access to US Treasury investments without delays.
Why This Matters
This launch shows blockchain is growing in big finance. It lets more people invest in US Treasuries easily. The XRP Ledger is built for this kind of work, making it perfect for banks and institutions.
The numbers back this up. OUSG has over $670 million locked in it already. Ondo Finance’s total value locked is more than $1.3 billion.
Markus Infanger from RippleX said, “OUSG on the XRP Ledger proves tokenized finance is real and growing.”
This isn’t the only news for XRP Ledger. On June 10, 2025, Guggenheim Treasury Services added its Digital Commercial Paper there too. These steps are building a strong system for digital finance.
What’s Next?
Ondo Finance’s OUSG launch is a key moment. It connects old-school finance with new blockchain tools. Investors get easier access to safe assets like US Treasuries. As more people use tokenized products, platforms like the XRP Ledger will likely grow. New ideas and services could pop up soon.
