Tap Global Group plc, the AIM-listed digital finance company, has made its new yield product available to customers in the United Kingdom, completing a global rollout that began May 7, 2026.
The move adds a recurring revenue stream to a business that has historically depended on transaction fees.
How Tap Earn Changes the Revenue Model for Tap Global
Tap Earn is built on a spread-based structure. The company collects a margin between the yields it earns from deploying customer assets and the lower rates it passes back to users.
That model, detailed in the May 14 RNS announcement, differs from Tap’s existing trading-fee income and gives the company a revenue base that does not require customers to actively transact.
The product offers variable customer-facing yields of up to 7.0% on supported stablecoins, up to 3.5% on Ethereum, and up to 2.5% on Bitcoin.
Withdrawals are flexible, with no lockups, notice periods, or early-withdrawal penalties.
Tap Earn was first announced on May 7, 2026, and the company has described the launch as supporting its scalable revenue strategy.
The UK go-live on May 14, 2026, made Tap Earn available across all the Group’s markets.
CEO Arsen Torosian said in the regulatory announcement: “The UK is a cornerstone market for Tap, and today we are proud to bring Tap Earn to our UK customers. With Tap Earn now live across all our markets, we’re focused on scaling the product across existing customers as a new revenue stream for the Company.”
What Early Performance Data Has and Has Not Confirmed
The input brief for this article states Tap Earn reached $3.5 million in assets under management shortly after launch. That figure could not be confirmed through any public filing, regulatory announcement, or press release at the time of publication.
A separate trading update covering early-access performance metrics for Tap Earn, including customer numbers, assets under management, and annualized revenue run-rate, is expected to follow in due course. No date for that release has been set.
Risk Disclosures the Company Is Required to Flag
Tap Global included prominent warnings in both its May 7 and May 14 announcements.
The company disclosed that Tap Earn is a high-risk product and that customer-facing yields are variable, not guaranteed, and may be reduced to zero at any time.
The product is not protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme or equivalent deposit guarantee schemes.
Customers may lose some or all of their holdings, and access to funds may be restricted during periods of market stress.
Those disclosures are required under UK Market Abuse Regulations.
The full risk register covers counterparty default, liquidity stress, regulatory enforcement, and concentration risk, among other items.
Where Tap Global Stood Before This Launch
A September 23, 2025 trading update showed Tap Group revenues of approximately £3.44 million for the year ended June 30, 2025, an increase of 30% on the prior year.
With Bitcoin income included, the directors expected the company to be materially EBITDA positive for the full year.
The company serves more than 400,000 registered users across more than 25 countries and supports over 60 cryptocurrencies.
Tap Earn is integrated into the existing Tap mobile application.
Tap Global Limited, the Group’s European business, was the first cryptocurrency FinTech company to be approved by Mastercard in Europe, giving European users the ability to convert cryptocurrencies to fiat and spend at more than 37 million merchant locations worldwide.
